Version 1.1.0 is fixes a pair of sync issues that impacted sharing an account or setting up a new device: your full history now comes along without requiring a force full-sync, and split transactions sync the way you’d expect. Desktop also picks up a round of import, recurring, and register improvements. Many of these came straight from the feedback portal.
Sharing and sync bring your full history (Desktop, iOS, Android)
- Sharing an account with another person, or syncing it to a new device, now downloads all of that account’s existing transactions instead of leaving you with an empty account until you did a manual full-sync.
- Large registers sync completely too. Previously anything past the first couple hundred transactions could be left behind on a fresh sync.
- The first sync after this update may take a little longer than usual while your devices catch up.
Split transactions sync everywhere (Desktop, iOS, Android)
- The category breakdown of a split transaction now syncs across your devices and with anyone you share an account with. Before, a split synced as a single combined entry and its line items stayed only on the device where you entered them.
More import date formats (Desktop)
- CSV import now recognizes more date styles, including compact dates like 20260514 (used by Wells Fargo and others) and spelled-out dates like “May 14, 2026”. Imports that used to come back with zero records because the dates could not be read now bring in your transactions.
Recurring transactions post on their own (Desktop)
- Recurring entries set to auto-post now appear in the register automatically as their dates arrive, even when you leave the app open for days at a time. Previously they only posted when the app was restarted.
- The Recurring Transactions list is now ordered by what’s coming up next, with active series and their soonest due dates at the top.
Better search (Desktop)
- Search now matches partial words, so typing “elec” finds “Electric”.
- Results give the memo its own column, making it easy to tell similar entries apart without opening each one.
Tell duplicate categories apart (Desktop)
- When two categories share a name, such as “Maintenance” under both Housing and Transportation, the register now shows the parent (“Housing > Maintenance”) so you always know which one an entry uses.
Cleaner register at larger font sizes (Desktop)
- Enlarging the font no longer squeezes the cleared-status column, so the “C” marker stays readable.
Import keeps your column mapping (Desktop)
- If an import does not go through, the Import screen now keeps the columns you matched up instead of resetting them to defaults, so you can fix one mapping and try again without redoing all of them.
Smoother category entry and report columns (Desktop)
- Typing a category name while building a split transaction now narrows the list as you type, instead of jumping around on the second letter.
- Every column in the reports can be resized by dragging its edge, including the Date column.
Many of the changes in this release came from thoughtful, detailed feedback from our users, with special thanks to Alene, Kit, and John Pollard.
