Version 1.1.7 is the largest release since 1.1.0, and almost all of it came from the feedback portal and from people writing in. It corrects how credit card and loan balances work, fills in the gaps around starting balances and transfers, and clears out a set of bugs that had been getting in the way.
Card and loan balances go the right way (Desktop, iOS, Android)
Payments to a credit card or loan could move the balance in the wrong direction, which made those accounts hard to trust. Starting Balance now asks for the amount you owe, so a payment lowers it and a purchase raises it. If an account was set up the other way around, opening it offers to correct it for you. On desktop the same accounts now show the amount you owe, matching what you see on your phone. When you reconcile a card or loan, enter the statement balance as a positive number. Thanks, Aaron!
Loans have their own account type (Desktop, iOS, Android)
A loan is now an account type of its own rather than a bank account carrying a negative number. It shows the amount you owe, the way a credit card does, and it is never flagged as overdrawn. Thanks, Kit!
Set a starting balance after the fact (Desktop, iOS, Android)
You can set an account’s starting balance, and the date it applies from, any time after you create the account. It appears in the register as an Opening Balance line that you can reconcile like any other transaction, so an account you set up in a hurry can still be brought in line with your statement. Transfer sits next to Payment and Deposit (Desktop, iOS, Android)
Moving money between your own accounts no longer means entering it twice. Transfer is now a third option alongside Payment and Deposit, with a list of your accounts to pick from. Both sides are named after the other account, and the memo you type appears on both. Thanks, Don, and Kit, who upvoted it.
Deleting an account works (Desktop, iOS, Android)
Deleting an account works properly now, and it stays deleted on your other devices instead of coming back on the next sync. Thanks to whoever raised this on the portal, and to Paulene, who wrote in about it too.

Transactions entered on the same day now stay in the order you entered them, and the running balance follows that order rather than rearranging itself. Thanks, Kit! Your example is what found it, and thanks to the App Store reviewer who raised it as well.
Overdrawn highlighting can be turned off (Desktop, iOS, Android)
The row shading added in 1.1.6 is not for everyone, so it can now be switched off in Settings. The balance itself still shows in red either way.
App Lock works again (iOS, Android)
App Lock now turns on, and unlocks with your fingerprint, face or device PIN. It had been failing on every Android device, and on iPhones with Face ID. Thanks, Lisanka, for writing in.
A New Transaction button on desktop (Desktop)
The full transaction form now has a button at the top of the register. That button, along with Filter and Reconcile, also has an Alt shortcut on Windows and Linux.
Light mode is properly light (Desktop)
The account list, menu bar and status bar follow the theme you choose. If you have the theme set to System, they follow your desktop when you change it.
Menus clear of the navigation buttons (Android)
Menus that slide up from the bottom no longer sit under the navigation buttons, where Delete in particular was hard to tap.
Save above the keyboard (Android)
Save now sits just above the keyboard while you are typing, instead of waiting at the end of the form. Thanks, Jen!
