14-day free trial for sync
Sync across your devices and sharing on multi-user plans are now free for 14 days, no payment details required. A countdown in the status bar shows how long is left. At the end of the trial you can pick a plan, or keep using the app locally on this device.
Better import from QIF files
Importing a QIF file from Quicken or another financial app is now much more reliable. Older files with accented characters, European number formats like 1.234,56, and full multi-account exports all work. When a file contains more than one account, Checkbook asks where each should go; you can match to an existing account, create a new one on the spot, or skip it. Income categories like Salary land as income rather than as a generic expense, and there is now a progress bar for large imports.
Matching-currency transfers
Transfers between two accounts with different currencies are now blocked with a clear message, so you will not end up with $50 on one side and €50 on the other by accident.
Fixes
- Restoring a deleted account now brings back its transactions, recurring schedules, and reconciliation history.
- The “Sync error” indicator no longer appears if you are not signed in.
- Fixed a crash when deleting a transaction while a sync was running.
- Auto-posting recurring transactions no longer create duplicates when the same recurring is due on more than one device.
