Privacy Policy

Caffeinated Checkbook is designed with privacy at its core. Your financial data (transactions, balances, budgets, and account information) is stored on your device first, and only synced to our servers if you choose to create an account. You can use Caffeinated Checkbook completely offline with no account, and your data never leaves your device. When you enable sync, your financial data is encrypted in transit. We store your data on our servers to sync across your devices, but we do not access, analyze, or sell your financial information. We never connect to your bank and never ask for banking credentials.

Without an account, we collect no personal data. Anonymous crash reports may be sent if you opt in. With an account, we collect your email address for authentication and communication. If you subscribe, payment is processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe (web). We store subscription status but not payment details like credit card numbers. When using sync, your transactions, account balances, categories, and related data are stored on our servers to enable sync across your devices.

We use your data solely to provide the Caffeinated Checkbook service. Your email is used for account login, password reset, and important service updates. Your financial data is used for syncing across your devices. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or financial information with third parties for any purpose.

Your financial data remains on our servers as long as your account is active. If you delete a transaction, it is permanently removed within 30 days. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Data on your device is under your control and is not affected by account deletion.
